Repeating Accounting Journals

Transactions such as inter-portfolio transfers, director's loan payments and personal drawings are usually recorded as a journal.  Sometimes, these transactions occur on a regular basis and for these you can set up repeating journals. Head to Account Manager > Journals > Add Repeating Journal and fill in the information. Use the first section to define how often you want the journal to occur and when you want to start recording them from.

Journals will not appear until the date they are specified for (eg the 1st of every month) so if the payment actually occurred the day before, you will need to wait for the software to raise the journal.

If the amounts change, head to the Repeating tab on the journal page, open the journal rule and make the required changes to the journal. Check the Next Bill Date. The changes will occur from that date.
