Ownership by property instead by portofolio

Joseph Chocron 2 years ago updated by Landlord Vision Admin 1 year ago 7

This is major for people using your service.

Ownership should be setu by property and not by potofolio.

for example i have a house devided to 3 flats, each flat belong to someone else, on 1st flat their is 2 owners.

i must have them all in same porofolio as some expensses belong to all flats.

we have only one bank account where tenants pay the rent.

the tax raport will never give us the correct numbers with today configuration .

if you will change your platform, to be able to setup the ownership for each property this will help so much !!!

Planned

Hello

There are already plans to do this

Kind regards

Hurray, any timescale you can tell us?

Ownership by property will be very helpful particularly when there are joint/multiple owners for one property.
Being able to show breakdown of ownership (e.g. 50-50) will be very useful.

Hopefully the income tax report will breakdown all income and expenses for each property by ownership percentage.

Hi

Having just read your guide to Digital Tax that you published (really useful) I'm doubly keen to get this feature so that income tax reports can be generated for each owner rather than for the full portfolio. In our case we have 8 houses - 6 in joint names and one owned by my husband and one by me. If only I'd thought though the implications for tax calculations at the time!

Currently I just adjust with a spreadsheet annually but with Digital Tax requiring quarterly submissions then this becomes really important.

Any idea on dates?

thanks, Karen

Hello

We moved this up the development list recently so we will be starting work on it in the coming weeks

Kind regards

Roy

Brilliant - from the comments I think everyone else enjoys tax returns just as much as me, so this will make you very popular!!!

thanks, Karen

Completed

Hello

Just to let you know that it is now possible to set the ownership percentage by property as well as by portoflio.  We have made the following changes

Portfolio > Edit Portfolio: it is now possible to add an ownership percentage for a landlord for the portfolio as a whole

Property Manager > Properties > open a property > Edit property: you can now enter how much of that property each landlord owns.

In both cases, if no percentage is entered, the software assumes an even split

Kind regards

Roy
