Add "Meter Reads" tab for properties as well as tenancy for HMO use!

Under "Tenancies" you can select a tenancy at a selected property and add the relevant electric or gas meter read associated with the tenant at that particular property.


Why is there not a similar section in the "Properties" which would not only be useful for whole property rentals or in a HMO where there is one gas meter and one electric meter for multiple tenancies. As the feature is already in the system I am confident this should be a very easy & simple patch/addition.

Hello,

Thank you for your request. Here's what we can do:

1. Keep the option to enter meter readings at tenancy level. However, any meter readings added at tenancy level will automatically appear at property level as well, i.e. we'll add a Meter Readings tab for each property in Property Manager.

2. Add an option to enter meter readings at property level, i.e. from the Meter Readings tab against each property. When entering a meter reading at property level there will be also an option to assign the reading to one or several rooms if necessary and also an option to assign the reading to one or multiple tenancies. Any readings which have been assigned to a tenancy will automatically appear at tenancy level, i.e. under the Meter Readings tab in Tenant Manager.

Hi Nick,

Thanks for your response, for us option 2 seems like the perfect solution as we do not record any meter readings against specific tenancies throughout our entire portfolio, I currently use a third party cloud note software whereas it makes sense to keep absolutely everything together in one app/program.

Will there be a historical record and will this be accessible to view & edit via the mobile app?

Hello Jack,

Thank you for your feedback. You'll be able to add as many meter readings for the same utility/property as necessary which will serve as a historical record. And yes, we'll also update the mobile app to allow viewing and editing of the meter readings at property level.

We'll confirm when these changes have been applied - that would be next month at the latest.

I too would like to see a meter readings tab at the property level. Is there an ETA for this as it looks like it should be there by now?
