Entering Letting Agent Payments

The payments coming from the tenant follow a two stage process as they go to the Letting Agent where they have fees deducted and then on to the Landlord. Tracking it in Landlord Vision is a two stage process as well.

Firstly set up the tenancy for a letting agent

Enter the Payments to the Letting Agent

There are two ways of doing this. Method one allows you to add a single payment of the invoice amount. Method two allows you to add a single payment of any amount to multiple invoices.

- Method one

Go to Tenant Manager > Payment Schedule and search for the tenant. Select Add Payment from the cog icon menu that comes up when you put your cursor over the invoice.

Now add the payment and either create or select the statement from the drop down list under 'Statement'. If you create a new statement, you need to give it a Statement Reference, which can found on the statement provided by the Letting Agent.

- Method two

Go to Tenant Manager > Payments > Tenant to Letting Agent tab > Add Payment.

Now add the payment and either create or select the statement from the drop down list under 'Statement'. If you create a new statement, you need to give it a Statement Reference, which can found on the statement provided by the Letting Agent.

The Statement Reference will create a statement in Tenant Manager > Agent Fees that you can then add further charges and payments to.  It is recommended that you make one statement in Landlord Vision for each statement that you receive from the letting agent.  Make sure you name them correctly so that you can find them again later if you are creating a lot of statements for different properties.  You can find more information on Agent Statements here.
