If your tenant is eligible for housing benefit, you might be receiving money from a housing authority or council as well as from the tenant. You can record this in Landlord Vision, where they are known as LHAs.
Firstly, set up your tenancy as normal but enable the LHA Tenancy flag.
This will now generate a second payment schedule within the tenancy that you can assign the payments from the LHA to. In this example, the rent is £350 a month, the local housing association is paying their amount every four weeks and the tenant is topping up the other £70. They are also paying four weeks in arrears and we can show this in the Due Date
Now you'll be able to add payments from both the tenant and the LHA separately so you can more easily track who has and hasn't paid.
