Thanks Roy. It's great that you're going to look into creating a workflow that allows safety and legally mandated certificates to be automatically forwarded to tenants. Please keep me posted.

In the meantime, I know that when uploading a Document to Document Manager, that it can be associated with a property. My question is how however, how to also link it to the Safety Certificates and Insurances Tab of the Property where it can be given an expiry date and an early warning set.

thanks

Thanks Roy, but you have missed the point.

At the moment we have to upload the SAME safety certificates twice: Once to Documents so that they can be shared with tenants. And a second time to the Property Safety Certificates & Insurances.

Louisa's suggestion is to share the Safety Certificates that are uploaded to the Property Safety Certificates & Insurances tab, with the tenants who landlords have a legal duty to share with them so that we only have to upload once.

However, in addition to including the Safety Certificates in the tenant module, Landlord Vision should AUTOMATICALLY send an email to all tenants whenever any new Safety Certificate is added to a property that they are living in.

This is an urgent and important failure of functionality, that should be easy to fix. Please sort it.

This would be really helpful. I want to use the data in LV in other places and update the data in LV from external sources.

For example, I would like to be able to query LV to get a list of all tenants so that I can send emails to them outside of LV when certain events occur, for example a new Gas Certificate is issued, or when I need to alert them to an important piece of news that happens outside of LV.

I would also like to update the data in LV from external sources, so for example, I keep a Google Sheet with all current mortgage interest payments, that I update whenever there is a rate change. At the moment I have to manually also update this in LV, but an API that allowed this data to be updated externally would make this task much more efficient.

If LV had an open API interface It could be integrated with systems like Zapier, ITTT and especially Integromat and used as part of much larger and very powerful workflows.

Open data and integrations of websites so that they can do much more clever things when working together is the future. Please embrace this principle and help LV to become the core of our businesses as it works seamlessly with other systems.

Thank you

What we really need is to assign a document to a Property and then for LV to have the option to AUTOMATICALLY share it with EVERY tenant at that property. So that when a new tenant moves in they are AUTOMATICALLY able to view the document. For example Gas Safety Certificates MUST be shared with all tenants, it is tedious in the extreme to have to a) enter each each tenant each time a new Certificate is entered and to have to remember to share existing Certificates with each new tenant.

When there are new important documents like  Gas Safety Certificates, all tenants at a property should also automatically get an email to inform them that there is a new important document for them to look at.

Drag and drop would be really great and is now very common for many website platforms.

Landlord vision associates documents with contacts, tenancies and properties, but doing so is rather tedious. When a Property, Contact or Tenancy is open, dragging a document onto an "Upload Document" window on the page, would automatically associate it with the open Property, Contact or Tenancy.

Also having an easy way to change and associate documents to new Properties, Contacts or Tenancies would be really great.
